“Nairobi X” marks the first time that a 3D video game has been developed locally any where in Africa.
Black Division Games has become the first African tech company to
pull off the feat. The 3D game is available on multiple platforms
including both Windows and IOS based operating systems, reports The Standard.
The company officially launched the game at a Tuesday, June 16, 2015 ceremony at the Tribe Hotel in Nairobi.
“Nairobi X” features a Kenyan military man fighting off an alien
invasion against the background of downtown Nairobi. The new “Nairobi
X” also features the first ever integration of in-game marketing within
Kenyan made games
Black Division Games said on their Facebook page, “Due
to the high subscription rate from our servers causing inconsistencies
on the delivery of the mobile game APK. We have decided to issue the
mobile game for FREE on Google Playstore.”
