Wateja wa DSTV nchini Tanzania wameshtukizwa na ongezeko jipya la vifurushi vyake litakaloanza kutumika mwezi October mwaka huu.
Kampuni ya Multi Choice imewatumia ujumbe wateja wake jana kuwa bei imepanda kutokana na kuporomoka kwa thamani ya shilingi dhidi ya dola ya Marekani.
Kifurushi cha juu yaani premium kimepanda hadi kufikia shilingi 219,000 kwa mwezi na cha mwisho sasa ni shilingi 23,500.
Kwenye akaunti ya DSTV ya Facebook mteja mmoja aitwaye Fahad Bin Soud ameandika:
I’m officially bidding my farewell, have been your customer since 2011 now i cant handle it anymore. First the EPL, now the price. We are just waiting for the moment Azam launches EPL then that will be your doomsday in EA.
Nao DSTV wamejibu:
Hi Fahad, The increase is due to the continuous depreciation of the Tanzanian Shilling against the US Dollar. DStv is an imported service and almost all costs including channels and satellite are primarily foreign currency based, hence a price adjustment is required, thank you.”
