President Obama, who was speaking during the official opening of the Sixth Annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Nairobi, said “the anti-corruption agenda creates a platform for entrepreneurs to succeed”.
Obama said that entrepreneurship creates a culture of transparency and accountability and offers equal opportunities to all and enables people, especially youth and women, to shape their own destinies.
Obama, who was accompanied by 20 members of the U.S. Congress, said the entrepreneurship summit will go a long way in connecting entrepreneurs with successful business persons.
The corruption agenda is, however, expected to dominate President Obama’s speech during the public address at the Safaricom Indoor Arena, Kasarani on Sunday.
Obama is also expected to touch on issues of democracy and equal human rights
