Members of the Ethiopian military raided a village in Sololo for the second time in less than a month.
Approximately 30 armed troops raided Lataka village. The troops
arrested one person during their raid on Thursday, June 25, 2015.
According to The Standard, the armed men arrested Qala
Jirmo, a 70 year old man. The soldiers claimed that they were looking
for people in association with the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF).
They may have also been targeting Roba Duba, the Assistant Chief for the area.
The soldiers from the Ethiopian military conducted the raid at 6:30 AM. Police did not respond to the incident until 12:15 PM.
