The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) has joined the Annual General Meeting of the Tanzania Magistrates and Judges Association in Dodoma, leveraging the high-level national platform to amplify destination marketing, spotlight world-class tourism offerings, and strengthen strategic collaboration between Ngorongoro and the Judiciary.
Officially opened on 13 January 2026 by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, the conference runs through 16 January 2026, convening legal sector stakeholders from across the country to deliberate on matters of justice, the rule of law, and the continued strengthening of Tanzania’s justice delivery system.
The NCAA delegation was led by Ms. Mariam Kobelo, Senior Assistant Commissioner for Conservation in charge of Tourism and Marketing, alongside Mr. Usaje Mwambene, Senior Conservation Officer (Legal). Through targeted engagements and informative presentations, the delegation showcased Ngorongoro’s exceptional portfolio, ranging from iconic natural wonders and premium visitor services to diverse investment opportunities, underscoring the Area’s enduring global appeal and recognition as one of Africa’s leading safari destinations.
Beyond promoting tourism, NCAA also used the gathering to deepen understanding among legal stakeholders on the legal framework underpinning the conservation and sustainable management of natural resources, an essential foundation for protecting Tanzania’s heritage while expanding responsible tourism.
Delegates were introduced to the Conservation Area’s signature experiences, including the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, the breathtaking Empakai and Olmoti Craters, the scenic Endoro Waterfalls, and Ndutu, renowned worldwide as a key calving ground during the Great Wildebeest Migration. Additional highlights featured the mysterious Shifting Sands, the globally significant Olduvai Gorge Museum, and the area’s museum and geopark attractions, together reinforcing Ngorongoro’s unique position as a destination where wildlife, culture, landscapes, and human history converge in a truly unmatched visitor experience.
