96-year-old man marries 104-year-old sweetheart, to take her to honeymoon at undisclosed location

A couple aged over 100 years tied the knot at the Nyaithe AIPCA Church in Tetu, Nyeri County on Sunday in an event that was attended by friends and family.
Daniel Thenya Kanja, 96, married his love Gladys Wahu aged 104 after 76 years together, personifying the saying “better late than never”.
Their eldest son, Joseph Kanja, expressed his delight in witnessing his parents’ wedding saying it is upon them to now follow suit.

Eunice Wanjiru, their granddaughter, said the event was inspirational to the young people and gives them hope in life.
Mukaro Diocese Archdeacon Kihuria Ngunjiri said the couple has not had domestic issues for 76 years, and urged the young generation to live together and avoid being promiscuous.
The father-of-five has also planned to take his wife on honeymoon to an undisclosed location.
