star, Mercy Johnson, got herself in a bit of trouble on Friday after
she congratulated her film producer Tchidi Chikere and actress Nuella
Njubigbo on their wedding.Nigerian showbiz has in the recent past referred to Nuella as a ‘husband snatcher’ after Chikere allegedly left his wife of nine years, Sophia Tchidi Chikere, for her.
Nuella and Chikere who have a one-year-old baby together got married on December 2, 2015.

Well, extending her hearty congratulations to the newlyweds, Mercy Johnson wrote: “My bossman and madam didn’t tell me o lolzzz. Congratulations dear ones and may God keep you. My love to my baby Tess on her 1st birthday.”
It is this innocent message which earned Johnson a series of tongue lashes from fans who claimed she’s ‘encouraging the habit of husband snatching’.

Mercy Johnson is yet to respond to the allegations.
Chikere and Nuella’s path to matrimony was fraught with controversy as the producer’s ex-wife claimed they started dating while he was still married.

Since then, they (Chikere and Nuella) have moved on from the drama as
they celebrated their traditional wedding in March 2014 and welcomed
their daughter in December 2014.Tchidi Chikere’s estranged wife in March 2014 reacted to Nuella Njubigbo’s claim that she started dating Chikere after the couple had split.
Sophia said that Nuella lied. She also claimed that she and her husband had not yet processed a formal divorce.
Sophia blamed Nuella for the end of her marriage.
“I swear with my life, my children’s life and everything I have that Nuella started dating my husband before he left the marriage. But because I respect my husband a lot, the father of my three boys, I have kept calm and won’t talk and comment because there is no need to wash your dirty linen in public. Tchidi is a wonderful husband and father and will always be,” said Sophia.
She went on to allege that Nuella was lying to the public: “After what you (Nuella) did, you still have the right to lie and say you were not in the picture? You want to deceive the public? But you can’t deceive God. You put what God has joined together asunder and made my children cry to bed every night.”
“… Let the wrath of God be your portion. Now that you have taken my hubby and you are getting married to him like I heard, are you happy? Are you fulfilled? Let the Almighty God fight for me and judge you. As for my husband, he is a wonderful father and I will never ever disrespect him” ranted Sophia in 2014.
Sophia and Tchidi separated in 2012. They have three sons.
