State House has announced that Friday will be a normal working day
despite the inconveniences expected in Nairobi during the arrival of US
President Barack Obama.
State House spokesman Manoah Esipisu made the announcement on Thursday during a media briefing.
Mr Esipisu said alternative routes will be provided on Friday and Saturday for commuters.
The roads to be closed on Friday as from 2 pm are Mombasa road, Uhuru highway and Waiyaki way.
The roads that will be closed on Saturday are Thika road, Limuru road and Waiyaki Way.
“Mombasa Road will not be completely shut but there will be changes
in traffic flow,” Mr Esipisu said at a press conference at Harambee
House on Thursday.
