92 Ethiopian aliens jailed

92 Ethiopian nationals were on Thursday arraigned in a Isiolo court and charged with being in the country illegally.
The Ethiopian aliens were charged before Chief Magistrate Samuel Mungai after security officers arrested them along Isiolo-Merti road at 6am on Tuesday.
The suspects, all men aged between 20 and 25 years, lacked legal documents permitting them to be in the country at the time of the arrest.

Their pleas for leniency proved futile after they admitted to the offence citing that they were heading to South Africa to look for jobs and were sentenced to one month in jail and later be deported immediately after.
This comes just a week after 15 more Ethiopian aliens were arrested for being in the country illegally and allegedly operating a human trafficking syndicate.
