Prince reportedly gave a private concert at the White House on Saturday
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest would only confirm there was a private party and wouldn’t go into any more detail.
According to Earnest, the party was held by US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama “on their own dime."
But reporters argued it happened at the most official of all official homes in the US and therefore the guest list should be made public.
That’s not going to happen, according to Earnest who would only say the invitees included close friends and family. But at least one guest happily bragged about being there.
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson posted a photo of himself and girlfriend Ciara on Instagram over the weekend saying: “Dancing at The@WhiteHouse to Prince & Stevie Wonder w/ my lady @Ciara. Thanks Mr. President & First Lady!”
Civil rights activist Al Sharpton also tweeted about the Prince concert calling the night an “unbelievable experience”.
