Katy Perry has promised 'a lion and sharks' at her highly-anticipated Super Bowl performance.

30-year-old singer will undertake the half-time performance slot at the
Pepsi Super Bowl XLIX game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New
England Patriots.
Held
at the University of Phoenix on Sunday, she has promised a spectacular
show with graphics and lighting which will take over the entire field
She spoke at the NFL press conference at the Phoenix Convention Center on Thursday, while wearing an NFL inspired crop top and matching mini skirt.
'I think I'm the only person to ever do a half time show who brings a lion and sharks to the show,' she said. 'It's going to be wild out there. I'm creating three or four different worlds.
'My entrance and exit are spectacular, the costumes are great, the music, I have a lot of songs to cover so there will be some medley of sorts.
'It's a larger than life show and, there will be costumes, I have 12-and-a-half minutes so I am going to take the opportunity to show a few looks, this is exciting. It is going to be a very colourful performance.'
The Roar hitmaker has revealed she will share the stage with Lenny Kravitz, but teased she has another special guest on hand, who she described as unexpected and a 'throwback'.
She said: 'There is someone, this is true. I have to keep some surprises for Sunday but I'm very, very excited about this guest. I thought long and hard about it. People are not going to expect it.

'It's a throwback of sorts that definitely needed some shine. All I can say is that it will be female fun night but when this person enters the stage, saw will drop and faces will melt.
'There will be some faces melted when she steps on the stage.'
Katy and fellow singer Idina Menzel showed their enthusiasm at the Pepsi Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show Press Conference in Phoenix, Arizona on Thursday.

And Katy made a cheeky joke about the controversy surrounding the Patriots allegedly using deflated balls during their playoff game.
'I can assure you that nothing in my performance will be deflated,' she said.
Katy, who will be performing a no doubt elaborate show during halftime, even went so far as to wear a themed outfit.
The pop star, 30, looked like a cheerleader in a long-sleeved top and pleated skirt in orange and blue, which were printed with a football design.

In comparison, Idina's outfit was very simple.
The Frozen star wore all-black in the form of a short-sleeved top, wide-leg trousers and sky high heels that added several inches to her petite 5ft 4in frame.

Getting into the spirit of the hotly anticipated game, the 43-year-old was even seen practising her throw.
Idina, who found fame on Broadway and more recently starred in Glee, will sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl - which is taking place at the University Of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Not much is known about Katy's halftime show, but the Birthday hit-maker has hinted she will be joined by some famous faces - and even revealed one of them.

However she did tease on Thursday that there will be an 'old school' female singer and 'a lion and sharks'.
Katy added that she feels grateful to be given this opportunity 'at such a young age' and will add 'some lightheartedness' to the event.
Meanwhile, John Legend will be performing America The Beautiful before the game.
