A mum has died suddenly just FOUR WEEKS after giving birth to a baby daughter.
Police officer Becci Dadswell, 35, was spending time with Bella on January 5 when she suddenly suffered acute pains.
She died two-and-a-half hours later in hospital.
She and husband Simon, 39, had their best Christmas when she gave birth to their first child last December and there were no signs of any infection of problems.
Now her Cheshire Police colleagues have passed information onto the coroner who is investigating just what caused the sudden and tragic illness.
And her grieving parents Alan and Denise Butler have have spoken of their heartbreak and loss.
Alan said: "You could see the love between Becci and Bella.
"She would hold her in her arms and look at her as if she couldn't believe she had given birth to her.
"We had a lovely family Christmas and New Year before it all went wrong."
Becci served with Warrington Central Neighbourhood Policing Unit in Orford, Bewsey and Longford, Cheshire, and was admired by colleagues for her caring and calm nature.
It is not yet known what caused the young mother's death.
She suffered acute pains at around 12.30pm on January 5 and died two-and-a-half hours later at Whiston Hospital.
Her mum and dad said they were grateful to have spent three weeks with Bella and Becci, and husband Simon - but hoped for answers.
Passionate about singing, Becci attended several colleges to study music.
During her funeral at St Ambrose Church, in Widnes, Cheshire, on Thursday, songs recorded by Becci were played.
Relatives and friends at the packed service heard her version of 'Every Time', by Britney Spears.
Friend Louise Shaw has now set up a trust fund for Bella, so that the baby's future will be provided for - to donate visit http://gogetfunding.com/project/becci-dadswell.
So far the site has raised £5,700 in donations.
Louise said: "We have set up this page on behalf of all her family and close friends and work colleagues who knew and loved her so well in support of her husband Si and new born daughter Bella Rose Becci Dadswell.
"Many of you have asked how you can pay tribute to Becci in supporting her new family and their future and the overwhelming suggestion was to provide for Bella's future, in particular her education.
"Becci's little world was complete when Bella was born less than a month ago.
"She left this world having her Daddy walk her up the aisle, marrying 'the one' and being the best step-mum to Lydia and Daisy and finally experiencing motherhood for herself.
"Albeit for not very long."
Becci studied nursing at university in Southampton, and was known for her wonderful bedside manner and care of patients when working at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport.
"Colleagues from Stockport were at the funeral and said she was the most loved nurse on the ward," said Alan.
Becci worked part time in hospitals to fund her studies, and dad Alan believes it was her desire to help people that saw her join Cheshire Police in 2007.
Her passion on the job was to help pensioners in Warrington, ensuring their safety.
"She wanted to help old people the most," said Simon, who is also a serving police officer.
"One of her frustrations was the time pressure to move onto the next job when she wanted to see it through and make sure everyone was ok."
Loved for being a warm, friendly personality with many friends, family said her beaming smile was enough to diffuse volatile situations when on duty.
"She would neutralise confrontation with her smile," said Simon.
"If she was in a domestic situation where there was a fight, she would talk them down with her personality and get them talking about it," said Alan.
"Once it was kicking off at a Warrington Wolves game and the crowd were getting lively and having a go at police," said Simon.
"She walked towards the crowd and took her hat off. She was quite a glamorous-looking girl and the chants changed to 'give us a smile'."
