But it appears, according to an insider, that the singer is having difficulty with the breakup and is not able to sleep.

The source told Us 'she can't sleep' and claims that Mariah is a 'mess' due to the split.
Cannon has recently been seen with singer Kreesha Turner, reportedly adding to Mariah's pain and frustration.
The pop star, however, is not yet ready to 'give up the idea of a happy family', the source claims.

Meanwhile, during a recent performance in NYC at the Beacon Theatre the singer broke down in tears on stage.
The singer struggled to hold back the tears while performing her track Hero on stage, obviously in a reflective mood after everything that has happened to her recently.
The public display of emotion comes after the pair's divorce allegedly has grown contentious.

According to People, the estranged couple are fighting over their various properties and over who will get custody of their twins, Monroe and Moroccan.
The divorce may be difficult due to Mariah's $500 million fortune and their lavish homes in New York, Los Angeles, Aspen, and Windermere Island (in the Bahamas).
The former couple also share a $5 million private jet and a cavalcade of cars - including a $400,000 Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce Phantom.

The pair reportedly brushed aside their relationship woes last month when they reunited for Thanksgiving dinner.
Taking to her Instagram account the day after the holiday, Mariah posted two snaps in which she is seen modelling a bold red evening gown in the foyer of a sprawling home, captioning one of them: '#Thanksgiving.'
But while the shots were thought to have been taken at her Los Angeles residence, TMZ claim they were actually taken at the home of her estranged husband, from whom she confirmed her separation in August.

News of the reported reunion comes after Nick confirmed that he and Mariah will spend Christmas together with their children.
